WHERE do the children play?. MANNA

22 March, 2012

With this song Mana trying to raise consciousness about the hazard land living, to the effects of economic globalization; extinction of energy resources, water pollution, the destruction of forests and seas, the emission of polluting gases into the atmosphere and the consequent increase in climate change reflected in the melting of the poles and how could it be otherwise while the north pollutes the south pays the bill. As we know the 5% of the world population (USA), consume the 30% of global resources and if the 6500 millions of people on the planet consumed like a European or a Japanese would be needed 2 Earth planets full of resources and if consumed as an Australian or a Canadian would need four other earth planets. We live in a world with limited resources but we develop an economic system based on inequality and unlimited growth in a world that can not grow anymore and while these occur our representatives are more concerned to please the "Markets" than the citizens themselves which they are seeing deprived of rights and freedoms that have cost so much to reach. The world is sick as Mafalda said good as long as we do not remain impassive with data like around 24.oo people die of hunger a day, being a 75% of the deceased children under 5 months and meanwhile the developed countries invest billions a year to prevent them from crossing the borders and for the so-called illegal immigrants to be repatriated. Or that the arms business generates around 22.000 million dollars annually by distributing the 80% of the cake the developed countries, Meanwhile he 95% of wars are fought in the countries of the south, the most impoverished but also the richest in natural resources . The saddest thing of all is that all the data that I have shown are true. Where will the children play?.

Where will the children play?
Grandfather says that as a child he played
between trees and laughs and colored gannets
remember a transparent and odorless river
where fish abounded, they did not suffer a pain
Grandpa's account of a very blue sky
where he flew kites that he built himself
time passed and our old man already died
and today I asked myself
after so much destruction
Where the hell will poor children play??
Oh, Oh, Oh! Where will they play?
The world is rotting
there is no place, there is no place
the earth is about to split in two
the sky has already been broken,
the gray crying has already broken
the sea vomits rivers of oil without ceasing
and today I asked myself after so much destruction,
Where the hell will poor children play??
Oh, Oh, Oh! Where will they play?
The world is rotting,
there is no place.
Where the hell will the poor kids play??
Oh, Oh, Oh! Where will they play?
The world is breaking,
there is no place.

This song wants to convey the great problem we have to consume without moderation and get to create a big problem for the planet and for all the resources that nature gives us and that little by little we destroy without realizing.

The song wants to convey that the planet earth has limits and resources are exhausted if we do not take care of them, and children in the future will not be able to enjoy them.

The song wants to convey that we are exploiting the earth and its resources and we should take care of it, so that children have somewhere to play in the future.

The song wants to talk about the contamination of the earth and that is getting worse every time , that we should realize that it makes the situation on the earth worse and we have to stop it

We would not like to live in a place where we can not have a normal childhood, where to be able to grow and learn, where to live…We are august as we live?? true , you know you have to live life to the fullest, enjoy it and such but we will not be the only ones to live on the planet others will take our place let us also live like us :) ))

With so much exploitation children in a future will not have anywhere to play, because everything will be exploited and consumed
Due to the money they waste, large companies could help other people who are in need

In this song we can understand that what we have today is getting out of hand, that we are not going to leave a hopeful future for our children and grandchildren, that time passes and we do nothing to change.

In this short film we can hear through a very nice Maná song, that the world is getting out of hand unfortunately, Our world is in grave danger and the fault is ours alone.. we wanted to create so much so that everything is so perfect and capitalism is greater than in the end will end in disgrace. That is why the question of where will children play?? the truth is that I wonder, where they will play, because with so much pollution, the extinction of resources, Destruction of forests.. I do not know what will be theirs tomorrow if we do not start doing something to avoid this.

The song tells us that we have to take care of the planet, because otherwise the children have no place to play.

What the song wants to convey is that as we continue to pollute and with this rhythm of life so consumerist the earth will be so bad that children will not even have a place to play.

Thanks for remembering everyone on the blog, that today is International Earth Day. That it helps us to reflect on the damage we cause each day and to try to improve our daily habits of life such as recycling, Use less water, less electricity,etc.., small gestures that can make our planet a better place for all. And beautiful song!!! “Heal the world, make a better place for you and for me and for the entire human race…” Heal the world, make it a better place for you, for me and for all humanity.
